Over the years, Bollywood has seen many controversial relationships, however, the one that still leaves the audiences intrigued is the relationship between Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, and Rekha. For those who don’t know, it was heavily reported that Big B had an extra-marital affair with the latter, despite being happily married and a father of two. Back in 2008, the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress was asked if would be fine with her husband and Rekha working together again.

Yes, you read that right! During an interveiw with the People Magazine, she was about he thought behind Big B and Rekha sharing the screen again. She explained how she wouldn’t mind at all. However, the announcement of their casting will create sensations more than their actual work. Quoted by Bollywood Life, the 76-year-old actress was quoted saying, “No, why should I mind? But I feel it will be more like a sensation than actual work. And that’s a pity because one will miss the opportunity of seeing them together. For those who don’t know the veteran actor couple tied the knot in 1973 and recently completed 51 years of togetherness on June 3. 

The trio were seen together in the movie Silsila (1981). Touted as an inspiration from Big B’s real life, the movie was a blockbuster hit at the box office. After the release of the film, Amitabh and Rekha never shared the screen. 


On the work front, Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Karan Johar’s romantic drama, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in Section 84, Kalki 2898 AD, and the official remake of the hit Hollywood movie The Intern.
